A Forest & Stone joinery drawing of a shaker kitchen and wardrobe, with oak, stone, painted door samples and a brass cup handle laid over it like a mood board

About

Forest for the timber.
Stone for what holds it.

Honest materials, built to endure — designed, built and fitted by one team, start to finish.

Meet Andrew

I started Forest & Stone in 2024, after a decade of carpentry and cabinet-making. I actually trained as a graphic designer first — but the workshop kept calling, and it won.

What I still love most is the same thing that pulled me away from a desk: walking into an empty space, designing with the client, and leaving a piece that fits so well it looks inevitable.

Everything is designed, built and installed in-house. No standard sizes, no off-the-shelf components — every millimetre is tailored.

Forest for the timber we shape. Stone for the worktops and construction we pair with it. Two honest materials, built to last far longer than a trend.

Bespoke

Every piece is drawn to your space and nothing else — custom proportions from the first sketch, not a catalogue size with the edges trimmed.

Quality

Honest, solid materials and a precision fit, finished the same way whether it's a hallway bench or a full kitchen.

Reliability

One team sees it through end to end — design, build and install — so nothing gets lost between trades.

How It's Made

Every piece starts on the workshop floor.

Cutting a sheet on the panel saw, with offcuts stacked against the workshop wall

Sheet material is broken down first — cut square and true on the panel saw before anything is joined.

Setting the cutter height on the CNC router with its handheld controller

Parts are machined on our CNC router to the exact sizes on your drawings, so every carcass fits your room to the millimetre.

Cutting joints into a panel at the bench, with the CNC router behind

Then everything is jointed, assembled and finished by hand at the bench, by the same people who will fit it.
